I sometimes have 5 or more query windows open, if I switch to the Data tab and then want to switch to the previous tab the shortcut Ctrl+Tab will send me to the tab next to the Data tab, but what I want is to go to the tab that I had select previously.
Is it possible to implement this behavior?
Thanks.
Ctrl+Tab behave like windows Alt+Tab
I am sorry but did you read my request?
Alt+Tab will switch to the application that you previously used.
So for example if I have Firefox, Netbeans and HeidiSQL opened and the current active application is HeidiSQL if I select Firefox then when I press Alt+Tab the selected application should be HeidiSQL and not Netbeans.
This behavior does not happen in HeidiSQLs Ctrl+Tab. As I mentioned in my example, if I am in Query Tab #13 and then use the mouse to select the Data tab when I press Ctrl+Tab I should be returned to the Query Tab #13, but I am NOT, I am sent to the Query Tab the one which is next to the Data Tab.

Ctrl+Tab is used in many programs as far as I know. Including all major web browsers. HeidiSQL does it the same way.
In firefox you can set the Ctrl+Tab to behave like I am requesting.
Yes, I read your post. Your topic made me think you want HeidiSQL to switch tabs on Alt+Tab.
However, my post could also be misread. I wanted to say that the default behavior in major browsers is not switch to the previously used tab, but to the right one (left one with shift). That's exactly how HeidiSQL does it. The fact that Firefox has a secret option to modify that behavior does not really say it's necessary to do that in HeidiSQL or other applications.

Ok, how about we compare this request with something more similar with HeidiSQL like Netbeans, Eclipse or PHPStorm. Sure they are for more languages (and do other stuff) but all of them have Ctrl+Tab switch to the previously used tab.
This feature, in my opinion, will be really useful when you have a lot of tabs and just want to switch around without getting lost.

Yes, can confirm that for PHPstorm, although I don't like that editor especially for usability reasons. However, I don't think this should be the default setting, but optional, with a new checkbox in the preferences dialog. And, I don't like the extra window opened in PHPstorm. That should work immediately, without showing the list of files again.
I use netbeans as my main editor and I get the popup window if I continue do press Ctrl+Tab but if I press for half a sec it will just take me to my previous window with no popup (I think Eclipse is the same way).
If you think there should be an extra check to enable this option, that is fine by me as long as one can enable this feature that will be great.
