HeidiSQL 12.0.0.6468 (Not Responding)

Downloaded this version and it keeps "Not Responding", sometimes just after a few keystrokes

Is there a new version without this bug or is there a fix?

Running on Windows 10

I suppose you mean keystrokes in a query tab, or in the view editor, or?

That was reported before, see issue #1568 . I have some slight clue about the cause, but I could not really find and fix it. Even I cannot reproduce it most of the time. From ~ 50 attempts to reproduce I had only one single situation where it happened here.

Most likely this happens when the new highlight feature draws a background color on same words:

... or when a word gets auto-uppercase'd. But that's unlikely, as that is not a new thing in v12.0

I was in the Basic view of a table and added 2 columns and clicked on Save

The past 3-4 times I needed to close the app and restart. This time it allowed me to Try to Restore and it still didn't work

Update: After it lost connection I tried to refresh.

It asked me if I wanted to save the changes to the table and I said Yes

When I reconnected, the 2 new columns were there ...
