If it helps, I get the same error. I am using Ubuntu with wine:

Package: wine Version: 8.0.1~repack-3ubuntu2

@ansgar, you have a chance to look into this?

ansgar's profile image ansgar posted 7 months ago Permalink

Yes, I had a look but had no luck in fixing it. It's one of the crash reports which don't tell anything about the actual cause, so I have to start guessing.

I am getting the same error in some cases, so I'm reminded to fix the crash.

I just retried again to reproduce the crash, but for some reason the crash is gone. I tested various builds, including those XIAIX and McFly11111 were using for the uploaded crash report text files above. No crash, neither with MEDIUMTEXT fields, nor with VARCHAR fields, and anyway if the content has linebreaks or not. Large and small text also does not matter.

Perhaps the VirtualTree component update in 6827 fixed something.

Could anyone try to reproduce again with the latest build (6840)?

Further details in issue #1936.

The reporter pointed out to me this is probably related to a multi-monitor setup..

I am running a multi-monitor set-up. I have retested this with build 6848 and I can no longer reproduce the error either.

Thanks. Crossing fingers that commit:358bee628c2080d034ba7bf357425adbad55b95c solved it permanently.
