MSSQL connection error, install MDAC not working

I've just install the latest HeidiSQL, build 4682 and keep getting an error message to install MDAC. The 4675 build has the same problem for me.

I've run the commands in the error page repetitively and still get the same error when trying to connect to a MSSQL database.

I've uninstalled Wine, deleted my .wine directory and reinstalled Wine1.6 & HeidiSQL.

I'm running Xubuntu 13.10, wine 1.6.1, winetricks 20130707.

Not sure if something has changed with Wine, or HeidiSQL.

Perhaps you have HeidiSQL 64 bit installed now? Another user reported the same.

cjunge, please report back if it turned out to be a 64bit issue.

Does appear to be installed in /.wine/dosdevices/c:/Program Files/ rather than c:/Program Files (x86)/

I'll try the x86 installer.

Replacing the exe in the c:/Program Files/HeidiSQL folder with the 32bit version works fine, no errors.

There's some tips on AskUbuntu about setting up Wine as 32bit: http://askubuntu.com/questions/136714/how-to-force-wine-into-acting-like-32-bit-windows-on-64-bit-ubuntu
