Visual glitch in text editor with horizontal scrollbar

I'm on Wine and the text editor for text columns has problems displaying text with long lines correctly, if there is a horizontal scroll bar. The initial content is displayed correctly, but editing does not update the display. The cursor is moved though. Once I move the horizontal scroll bar, display is updated. The issue disappears if you can't scroll horizontally. To circumvent the issue, I always resize the text editor window to not have a horizontal scroll bar.
