Problem with "foreign key columns"

Hello,

After updating Heidi I encountered the problem that I can't enter a value directly as shown in image 1. Deselecting "Show values in foreign key columns" helps but also disables the functionality in all other columns Because on the other hand I need this suggestion field as shown in image 2 for selecting the proper entry.

Therefore a feature like suggested in this post would solve the problem.

This is a misunderstanding. The dropdown was always the same, and your screen just shows it in two different tables with different key columns. The one has a connected column which is itself more readable for you, while the second one has numeric ids, which are not intuitive. But this is a matter of your table, not due to an update of HeidiSQL. Also, to help you find the value, HeidiSQL displays the first text column right besides a colon.
