Hi, I was wondering if you can migrate databases via Heidi when you have switched hoisting companies. I think the backup/restore system on Linux hosting is so clumsy and usually faiuls.
Any suggestions anyone?
Many thanks in advance.

Of course, you can export SQL files from one session and import these on the target session.
Or you can directly copy data from the current connected session to a different target session. The help file has some information on that topic.
Yes, you can migrate databases via HeidiSQL when switching hosting companies, and it’s often more reliable than using Linux hosting’s backup/restore systems. Simply export your database as an SQL file from the old host, then connect to your new host in HeidiSQL, and import the SQL file. Just ensure both hosts use compatible MySQL versions to avoid issues.
