Which password is required?

Hello, I have not used HS for a while and forgot a few things. I would like to ask: When I enter my login credentials (I connect to online databases), do I have to enter the password I use to get into my CPanel or the password associated with my databases?

Also, I always use the IP address assigned by my hosting proider as host, as I don't think HS would know where to look if I entered "localhost", is that correct?
