Choose "One big file" in the "Output" field and type the path and file name in the "Filename" field )or click on the button with a diskette icon which, now I think about it, is not the most intuitive icon...)

Tks, but the diskette icon is disable (gray)
I use the "export database as sql", I choose the wish table; but in that windows there are no choices. (6.0.3700 build)

The discette button is disabled ? Should not be the case, probably some logic bug. Could you please try and select a different output (directory or database), and then again "one big file"? Thanks.

Would this be how I can export a MySQL database to a testing server?

Yes, this can be done with Heidi's export dialog. Just create a session for the test server before using that feature, then select that session as the target.
