Ability to edit text fields in external editors

How about edit text and varchar fields in external editors like notepad++ or use come code higlight in internal editor?

I tend to enhance Heidi's own text editor instead of having to handle communication to a different application which can do a few things better. Even we can use SynEdit to add some syntax highlighting to the popup text editor, and support quite a few different languages.
