EOL in values

I have TEXT column with \n characters in some rows:

One line
Another line
...
...

If I double click the value a text editor is opened and I see content with correct EOLs.

When I'm looking at the table grid I see that these \n characters are removed so I see:

One lineAnother line......

When I put mouse over the value in the grid I see tooltip:

One line[and plenty of spaces is shown here]

It would be nice if:

• EOLs (and other special chars) are shown in grid. For example it might be other options in program preferences where user can specify which characters should be used instead of \n, \t etc
• tooltip's content shows multi line value or the content is truncated and shows the first line only with hellip
