mariadb/mysqldb encryption at rest

I did not see the procedure in heid., I am using SSH (works great) and it looks like encryption transport is accounted for on the advanced page. Is that the method for encrypting the entire database at rest? and still seeing the data through heidi? or is there another place or method. Thank you again for this great utility program

The SSL options in the "Advanced" tab encrypt the communication with the server. The data itself is not affected by these.
