avoid overwriting a file

Am I missing a setting? Is there any way to avoid saving an export on top of an existing backup. I have done this so many times by accident. Could you implement an are you sure dialog, or force the user to select a file each time?

Wouldn't that add some annoyance to the user?

Most programs do annoy the user like that, or at least give then the opportunity to opt out of the warning, thus the opportunity to opt in.
